Campbellsville University Announces Online Degree Program for Bivocational Ministers

Beginning in the fall semester of 2008, bivocational pastors will not have to travel to a campus to receive training in essential ministry skills.  This is due to a new, online program being offered at CU.

Called the Certificate in Christian Ministry, this 27 credit hours program will help pastors and other ministers college-level courses in an innovate and convenient format.  Should a student wish to pursue a degree in the future, the credit earned in this program will count toward that degree.

Book Proceeds Benefit

Scholarship Fund

Bivocational pastor Don Hamlin has donated a number of copies of his devotional book Lock, Stock & Barrel to the Center. Money from the sale of these copies will support the Bivocational Minister Scholarship fund.

We are hopeful that the fund will soon reach a level where scholarships can be awarded. Donations can be made to the scholarship fund by contacting

Mr. Benji Kelly, Vice President for Development at 270.789.5061 or jbkelly@campbellsville.edu.

For information on getting a copy of Don's book, contact the CU Bookstore at dwright@campbellsville.edu or  270.789.5010.

Why "twicecalled"?

The name of our website is drawn from the idea that bivocational ministers are called twice...

One call is to a secular vocation.

One call is to ministry.

Two calls, one life, one Lord.
